We only collect what is strictly necessary to make the app work, we never sell your data, and we keep everything as simple and transparent as possible. 1 · What We Collect
1Your access code
We store the access code you enter so the app can identify your pass, show how many recipes you have left, retrieve your saved profile, and load your saved recipes. The access code is stored in your browser and on our server database so the app can work across devices.
2Your profile preferences
If you save a profile, we store your cooking preferences such as your preferred country or region, recipe style, skill level, servings, dietary needs, ingredients to avoid, and any optional notes you provide. This lets the app personalize recipes and restore your preferences later.
3Your saved recipes
When you tap Save Recipe, the recipe title, body content, dish image, and timestamp are stored on our server and associated with your access code. This allows you to revisit your saved recipes later from the My Recipes page.
4Usage data
Each time you generate a recipe, we log a count against your access code to track how many of your total pass recipes have been used. We also log anonymized usage patterns such as meal type requested and approximate response time to monitor app performance. No personally identifiable information is included in these logs.
5What we do NOT collect
  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information through the app.
  • We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
  • We do not collect payment information — all purchases are processed securely through our payment provider.
  • We do not use third-party analytics services.
2 · How We Use Your Data
6To make the app work for you
Your profile preferences are used exclusively to personalize recipe generation. Your saved recipes are stored so you can access them from any device. Your usage count is tracked to enforce the total recipe allowance included in your pass. That’s it — your data is used only to deliver the service you paid for.
7We never sell or share your data
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose. The only external service that receives relevant recipe-request data is OpenAI, which processes your recipe requests.
3 · OpenAI & AI Generation
8What gets sent to OpenAI
When you generate a recipe, your profile preferences such as dietary needs, country, style, servings, and your specific request such as meal type, main ingredients, and occasion are sent to OpenAI’s API to produce a personalized recipe. This data is sent as a prompt and does not include your name, email, or access code.
9OpenAI’s data practices
We use OpenAI’s API under their business terms, which state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. For full details on how OpenAI handles data, visit openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
4 · Storage & Security
10Where your data is stored
Data is stored in two places: your browser’s localStorage on your device and our secure server located in the United States. Server-side data is stored in a private SQLite database not accessible from the public web. Your access code, profile, and saved recipes are kept for the duration of your pass and a reasonable period after expiry in case you renew.
11How we protect your data
  • All connections to the app use HTTPS encryption.
  • Server databases are stored outside the public web root and cannot be accessed directly via browser.
  • API keys and sensitive credentials are stored in private server files, never in client-side code.
  • No passwords are stored — access is controlled entirely through unique access codes.
12Cookies and localStorage
This app does not use tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s localStorage to remember your access code and profile between visits on the same device — purely functional storage with no advertising or tracking purpose. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
5 · Your Rights
13Access, correction & deletion
You can update your profile preferences directly in the app at any time. You can delete individual saved recipes from the My Recipes page. If you want all data associated with your access code permanently deleted from our servers, use our Contact page and we will process your request promptly.
14Data retention
Your data is retained for the active period of your pass plus up to 6 months after expiry to allow for renewal continuity. After that window, inactive accounts and their associated data may be removed from our servers. You can also request earlier deletion at any time.

We will never sell, trade, or monetize your personal data in any way. Your information exists only to power the service you paid for — nothing else.
